A Cold Morning

It's a cold wintery morning and I miss you.

Because last winter, cold mornings meant you.

Fog on the windows paired with your warmth.

You were the winter I fell in love with.

Your smile was the fog that rendered me blind.

Your words were the fire that kept me warm.

Summer has come and gone.

And I stand again at the threshold of winter,

Wondering how to light a fire.

It's a cold wintery morning and I miss you.

(Inspired by a movie)
